Updated Latex Table Editor

Because of the surprisingly big success of my latex table editor, I decided to update it with some nifty new features. The biggest improvement is that it’s now possible to rearrange the rows in the table. Simply drag and drop, using the handles to the left of the rows. I’ve also added a drop down box to set the text alignment in the columns, and updated it with a brand new interface. I hope you’ll find the new version better than the old one, but if you don’t please drop me a line and explain why.

Emulators in JavaScript!

I have in the recent past been made aware that it’s actually possible to create emulators in pure JavaScript. Along with the “new” canvas-tag, it turns out that the newest and fastest web browsers actually manages to emulate old game-consoles in an impressive manner. Some even with sound!

Here’s a list of some emulators created in JavaScript:

JSGB – Nintendo GameBoy emulator
JSNES – Ninetendo 8bit emulator
JSC64 – Commodore 64 emulator
JSSpeccy – Sinclair ZX Spectrum
Updated: Linux!

Unfortunately these emulators works best in Apple Safari and Google Chrome~~, but they’ll work in Firefox too, only slower.~~ and Firefox 4.

Brand new Latex Tools page

For about six months ago I made a JavaScript program that could help me to produce Bibtex entries. It has now been on truben.no for a while, and I have certainly benefited from it!

Two days ago I started to argue with Latex again, and this time it was because of how latex markup tables. Bacause of this I’ve created yet another javascript program that aims to help users with this issue. Check it out!

Jeg skal som tidligere nevnt skrive masteroppgave om AJAX. Etter å ha vært på ROOTS har jeg fått noen nye idéer, samt fått noen flere biblioteker å tenke på:

High Quality in YouTube

Some days ago my friend Tobias gave me a nifty tip on how you get high quality on all videos in YouTube. All you need to do is append the following string to the YouTube address: “&fmt=18″. I’ve created a small bookmarklet so it’s even easier. Just drag this link to your browser’s bookmark (favorite) toolbar: High Quality, and click on it when you’re watching a video on YouTube. Update: If you want to see a video in High Definition (HD) you can use this bookmarklet: High Definition

Norwegian: Tobias gav meg et tips om hvordan du kan få HQ på de fleste filmene på YouTube. Du trenger rett og slett bare å legge til &fmt=18 til URL-en. Jeg, fersk som jeg er med JavaScript, tok da opp tråden å laget et bookmarklet som gjør dette veldig raskt og smertefritt. Bare dra denne lenken opp i bokmerkelinjen din, eller høyreklikk og trykk “bookmark this link” eller noe tilsvarende: High Quality

Når du så går inn på en YouTube side, kan du nå bare trykke på denne knappen, og de aller fleste videoene vil komme i høy kvalitet. Uansett om det står “Watch in High Quality” under eller ei! Fantastisk?
